Acceptance
By using Telemachus you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
What you can do
You may create an account, sign petitions, start petitions on matters of genuine public interest, and donate to support the platform. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
What you cannot do
You may not submit petitions containing false or unverifiable claims, target private individuals, incite hatred or violence, impersonate others, use the platform for commercial purposes, or attempt to manipulate signature counts. Violations will result in immediate account suspension.
Petition content
You are responsible for the accuracy of content you submit. We review all petitions before publishing but cannot guarantee the accuracy of every claim. We reserve the right to reject, edit summary metadata, or remove any petition at our discretion.
Signatures
Each account may sign a given petition once. We use IP hashing and device fingerprinting to detect and remove fraudulent signatures. Petitions with suspected fraud are placed under review and may be removed.
Donations
Donations fund platform operations and are non-refundable except where required by law. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. We do not guarantee any specific outcome in exchange for donations.
Intellectual property
Petition text you submit remains yours. By submitting, you grant Telemachus a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it for the purposes of running the platform and delivering petitions to officials.
Limitation of liability
Telemachus is provided as-is. We are not liable for any failure to achieve a petition's stated goal, for any action or inaction by officials in response to a petition, or for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ireland.
Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by email. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance.
