Privacy Policy

What we collect
When you create an account: your email address and any display name or country code you choose to provide. When you sign a petition: the petition ID, timestamp, and optional comment. When you donate: payment is processed by Stripe — we store only the amount, frequency, and your email for receipts. We never see your card details. We record a one-way hash of your IP address for fraud prevention — this cannot be reversed to identify you.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your full name unless you volunteer it. We do not track your browsing behaviour. We do not run advertising or share data with advertisers. We do not sell or transfer your personal data to any third party for commercial purposes.
Who can see your data
Your display name and country code appear publicly on petitions you sign (if you allow it). Your email address is never shown publicly. Platform administrators can view account data for the purposes of reviewing petitions, preventing fraud, and providing support. Petition signature counts are public; individual signer emails are not.
Third-party services
We use Supabase for database and authentication, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for transactional email, and Vercel for hosting. Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking pixels.
Data retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@telemachus.help. Deleted accounts are anonymised — petition signatures are retained in aggregate for transparency, but your personal data is removed within 30 days.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You have the right to withdraw consent. You have the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@telemachus.help. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We use no advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics cookies. You can clear this cookie at any time through your browser settings, which will sign you out.
Changes to this policy
We will notify registered users by email of any material changes to this policy. The current version is always available at telemachus.help/privacy.
